Still no travel updates (but a medical update)

Yesterday, I nearly fell out of my chair when an email came from Holt. We were hoping to know if we need to sign a waiver for any "medical conditions" the US Embassy might have noted at the visa physical (sometime March 23-27). By the way, a "medical condition" can be a birthmark, so we have no idea if a waiver will be needed in Rai's case or not. So when I saw this email from Holt, I thought "Surely this is it!" But no...

On March 16th, Rai had a rehab note from a follow-up that stated that he now:
- walks independently (awwww....)
- has no hand preference (could be a righty like me or a lefty like Aaron)
- has great pincher grasp (bad for Kobe and Lucy)
- has no signs of CP!! Woohoo! For those who are new to this blog, this was the original concern when Rai's initial development was delayed. At this time, it looks as though his delays were really a result of his premature birth (6 weeks early) and low birth weight (2 pounds)

We just hope he isn't talking in full sentences and riding a bike by the time we get our call. :-)

I can't deny it. This wait has put us both on an emotional rollercoaster. There's something about seeing your luggage packed (only to realize that it is getting warmer in South Korea and those turtlenecks may not be a good idea) and seeing Rai's room all ready to bring about a sad sigh. Hopefully, it will be soon, if not by the end of April.

8 months since seeing our son's picture...
4 months, 3 days since being matched with our son which began our wait to travel...
x days until we get our call to jump on a plane and see him!

This is going to be a long day...
